New author Pamela Sholty shares a story of finding purpose and joy after devastating loss in her new book, "Safely Home" (published by WestBow Press).

"Safely Home" follows the stories of three people, brought together by death and coincidence. Seventeen year-old Bradley Carrington has Down syndrome and has just been left alone with a 50 year-old house to sell after a family tragedy. Meanwhile, staging expert Catherine Vaughn and real estate agent Kimberly Scott are both widowed at a fairly young age and meet at a grief support group. "Safely Home" follows the journey of all three, as the women work to solve the dilemma of the Carrington estate and help provide a family for the orphaned Bradley.

An excerpt from "Safely Home":

"And look how God used you in several important ways. Nothing about this adventure is accidental in your own life. Please remember our Lord is continually guiding you toward your purpose and not just a singular purpose but a purpose for each and every day as you live your life in Him."

"'Safely Home' is a story of friendship, courage and responding to God's purpose in life," Sholty writes. "No matter what your life circumstances are, God can use you to fulfill his purposes."
