Pam Withers, co-author of Jump-Starting Boys, will share her specialized knowledge of helping boys succeed in school and life on Monday at University Bookstore in Seattle. Pam will present her top tips on parenting boys and helping them get excited about learning, and make sure parents have all the knowledge they need to get ready for the new school year.
In a recent article, Pam and her co-author Cynthia Gill share their top tips on limiting screen time for children without coming across as a tyrant. Psych Central's Margarita Tartakovsky interviewed the education and parenting experts to compile seven hands-on tips that every parent can use to ensure that their children don't get sucked into too much television time. Simple steps like being interested in what kids are watching and having children earn screen time can have a huge impact on their media consumption, and still keep the household relatively conflict-free.
