The creation and effective management of public gardens is a necessity in a world where its population has reached seven billion and is becoming increasingly urban. It is predicted that by the end of the 21st century, practically the entire population of the world will live in what amounts to 'a completely global entity.' If this prediction is fairly correct, the currently existing gardens and parks will be woefully inadequate for expanded metropolitan areas of the future. In "The PUBLIC GARDEN MANAGEMENT: A GLOBAL PERSPECITVE" author Bijan Dehgan has written an exceedingly well-illustrated, highly detailed book on how to make and manage gardens that convey calmness and serenity to which people can retreat from burdens of daily disenchantments.
"PUBLIC GARDEN MANAGEMENT: A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE" provides essential information about public gardens and what is involved in designing, managing, and maintaining one. The book is predominantly about the necessity and the value of public gardens in human societies. It is about learning to appreciate managed landscapes, about nature and the art and practice of gardening. In effect, it is intended to teach students and the public at large how public gardens are organized and managed and how the same principles apply to personal property.
It is essentially a science book about public gardens around the world and how to manage them. "PUBLIC GARDEN MANAGEMENT: A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE" is a must have for gardening novices and public garden aficionados all over the world.
