ELLANGOWAN, Australia -The author of many non-fiction articles and essays as well as a highly commended short story published in Short Stories '94, P.S. Wall debuts into publishing a full novel in "A Gift" (published by Xlibris AU). In his book, he gives an Aussie spin to the psychic phenomenon in a tale woven around the struggles of a reluctant psychic.

Derek Jones is taken for the ride of his life when he awakens to his psychic abilities on his 25th birthday. His newfound powers draw him into a series of premonition events that has him treading the divide between self-belief and doubt, reality and the world of dreams. Amid the bevy of precipitous events around crime and drugs, Derek's relationship with his girlfriend Selena and their conflict with her brother, James, who does not approve of him, presents a compelling tale of how love conquers all.

In reading his book, Wall simply wants to give his readers the satisfaction of a good read. "A Gift" delivers an engaging, fast-paced ride across themes of loss, love, religion, class distinctions and the supernatural. Though a fictitious tale of the supernatural, it nonetheless presents a snapshot of modern society as he pours his personal experiences and research into his work.
