As the 2016 presidential election season heats up, the timely political book, "Politiquette: The People's Guide to Political Discourse in the New Millennium" (published by AuthorHouse) warns middle-class Americans that in order to secure their own interests, they will have to reconsider partisanship. Written by Nadia Asencio, "Politiquette" is an effective guidebook that advocates harnessing the collective power of the electorate through effective communication, which the author identifies as the key to a more sane political system in the United States.

According to a Gallup poll conducted in 2014, 42% of American voters identify as politically independent, but hold only a 0.0037% of representation in their government - effectively, taxation without representation. Meticulously researched, Asencio's "Politiquette" not only point out the bi-partisan failures of American policies both home and abroad; it offers Americans seven solid and simple steps to help overcome the political chaos that cause them. Asencio argues that partisanship is used to successfully pit Americans against each other, conclusively keeping a corrupt and ineffective status quo firmly in power.

"If this election has taught us anything, it's that Americans are appalled at the circus that our political system has become. They're tired of the blatant greed of Big Business and the power it has over our government. But the truth is we can't change the current state of affairs until we accept that we're part of the problem," Asencio affirms.

An excerpt of the book "Politiquette" reads:
Partisanship is destroying the U.S. Whether you're an Independent fed up with your lack of representation in Washington, a moderate Democrat or Republican disappointed by the repeated failures of your party, or a Millennial whose disenchantment with our current political system has turned into apathy, you have options and the power to turn things around; in fact, We the People have an obligation to do so. The first step is effective communication. The first step, is Politiquette.
