Stories of amazing differences and acceptance are seen in the news every day. Universal design is being incorporated more and more into our architecture. Every day people are growing more aware that our unique differences are what make us special and perfect in our own way.

Author Sandra L. Cole has written an inspirational children's Christmas story spreading this very message.

"Perfectly Natalie" follows Natalie after an accident that has left her primarily wheelchair bound. The story teaches valuable lessons about maintaining a positive attitude, making the best out of the situations of our lives, and that we are all uniquely special and perfect in our own way.

"The story is centered around Christmas, the importance of family, learning to make the best out of the situations in our lives and developing a positive attitude. Natalie, who now prefers to be called Natty, learns that we all are special and to never give up and Dad learns that sometimes we all need a positive attitude," Cole said.

"Perfectly Natalie" is the "perfect" Christmas story for this holiday season for parents, teachers and children alike, reminding us all that we are unique and special individuals, and that family, love and togetherness is the real meaning of the season.
