About the Author
D. Vanstone was born in New South Wales in the early1950s. Her mother instilled in her the love of the written word. She could read by the time she was three and often sat with a dictionary to learn a new word. Her high school English teacher encouraged her to write and planted the seed for her future. Having worked in the retail book industry, the author realized that children need to read more and create their own world through experience with the written word. As a published illustrator and exhibiting artist, she enjoys bringing the magic of the world to life through stories and art.
