Born in Shanghai, China and having owned homes in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Italy, France and London, Ms. Hsu Decker is no stranger to Haute Living magazine. She has been an advertiser and an ambassador since 2009. A leading figure in the luxury real estate industry since the 1980s, she co-owns Golden Gate Sotheby's International Realty with 20 offices in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is thrilled to apply her business prowess, vast contacts, global mindset, and affluent network to the world of media.
A devoted philanthropist, Ms. Hsu Decker has given the magazine a new subtitle that reflects her passion for giving back to the community, "Luxury Lifestyle With Purpose." Ms. Hsu Decker plans to be an influential media sponsor and to establish Haute Living as a leading brand in the Bay Area.
"I want it to be more purpose driven and philanthropic. While we celebrate the haute life with exotic cars, mega yachts, exquisite watches, fine dining, elite travels, high fashion and luxury homes, I would like to feature more inspiring stories too. As a businesswoman, I also support empowering women for equality in the business world. We are still far behind having only 27 female CEOs among the Fortune 500 Corporations. I will feature more successful women in business," says Ms. Hsu Decker.
Katie Sweeney, who has been with Haute Living since 2014, will continue in her role as the San Francisco Editor. Sonya Molodetskaya also keeps her eye on all things fashion as the Fashion Editor at Large. Lifestyle Editor Teresa Rodriguez, an exciting new addition, will cover travel, events, and local luminaries.
Ms. Hsu Decker is also bringing a thrilling team of ambassadors to Haute Living San Francisco. Victoria Uslaner will cover hospitality, Kelly E. Carter will report on Napa Valley events and Richard Davis brings insight on investment and wealth.
The first issue of the new Haute Living San Francisco is out this week.
