The second installment of the book series is inspired by her experience on being deprived of the kind of adventure that she really wanted to embark on, one about a strong young woman who was facing the issues that she saw in the world, whose greatest enemies are those who seek to undermine who she is and control her.
"Lost Prophecy" is about a young woman's struggle to embrace her newfound powers and face a world eager to use her and hijack her identity. It is a magical adventure but at its core is a sort of guide for anyone whose sense of self is ever shaken by the events in their lives.
"I think everyone faces challenges and people who oppose their autonomy at some point in their life and that resonates with readers as it did with me in my desire to write this story," Rae expresses. "I want readers to find their own tenacity to be themselves and not be afraid if they don't know yet. I want readers to have their uncertainty and confusion validated because no one gets through life effortlessly, no one faces challenges without falling or without changing."
