NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ Noted cardiologists, Jennifer H. Mieres, MD, andStacey E.Rosen, MD, launch Heart Smart For Women; Six S.T.E.P.S. in Six Weeks To Heart- Healthy Living; a new book that demystifies the science, biology and statistics surrounding heart disease while providing a user-friendly program for successful heart-healthy living.

Despite the abundance of public awareness campaigns, 90 percent of women have one or more risk factors for heart disease or stroke and cardiovascular disease remains the leading killer of women, according to the American Heart Association. Heart Smart For Women addresses the urgent need for women to assess their risk of heart disease and translate knowledge into action with sustainable approaches for preventing, minimizing and reversing heart disease.
