In her new novel "Bridges of No Return" (published by Trafford Publishing), author Nidel Koplin draws from her background of growing up on a Caribbean island and immigrating to the United States to craft an exciting adventure about three women struggling to find freedom from the oppressive government of their homeland.
Three women - Karina, Melina and Ana - living on a Caribbean island make the most difficult choice of their lives. After suffering at the hand of oppression in their native land, they flee, embarking on a journey to ensure their freedom and safety for the future. Their journey begins with a stopover in Barcelona, Spain, where they pursue an education, learning the language before setting off to their ultimate destination, the United States. But in the pursuit of their dreams, the three women will face many hardships. Will they find peace and opportunity together in their new lives?
"Bridges of No Return" approaches the topic of immigration, a hot-button issue in politics today, but Koplin assures readers that the book is not narrowly focused. "It contains a little bit of everything," she says. "Adventure, suspense, romance, and all with a touch of humor."
