Nicole Binder Releases I AM SOMEBODY

In "I Am Somebody" (published by AuthorHouse), author Nicole Binder's new memoir, readers follow the story of a young girl as she struggles to survive in the dangerous world around her.

"I wrote this book because I wanted to help other women," says Binder. "I want women to see that they can overcome anything that life throws at them."

Readers join Binder as she regales them with the tale of her life. Readers will witness her battles against molestation, rape and addiction. As they progress through the book, they will see how she managed to survive them all and come out the successful woman she is today.

"Some days it is so hard for me to sit down and write anything. It's painful to remember a lot of things that have happened in my life. Some things I don't want to remember, because I made a lot of poor choices and put the people I love most through a lot of pain and heartache, and I have a lot of guilt. Maybe once I get it all out of my mind, I'll be able to let it all go. Then maybe I can heal and enjoy the rest of my life. Some days I feel like nobody has any faith in me, and when I get something in my mind to do, and I hope that it will do well and that maybe someday I will be somebody, it just seems people knock me down. It's as if nobody believes in me or thinks I can do something good for myself and be somebody special I have learned that I am somebody-someone special-and no one can take that away from me."
