A former professor at UT Dallas and the University of Phoenix, Deborah Warner is a freelance writer, editor, and ghostwriter. She spent much of her career working in corporate communications for major direct selling companies. She has three grown children and lives in downtown Plano, Texas.

"Warrior Wisdom" was created with mixed grief and elation, as one woman navigates living single in an urban apartment, alone for the first time in her life. The author shares wise and often hilarious commentaries on urban living, nature, spirituality, and sexuality in rhyming couplets. Pain, heartache, joy, and love are the alchemy for her poetry, as she navigates being single, forging her way into her existence as Debbie Warrior, coined at age fifteen when she served as the high school Warrior mascot. It takes courage and a warrior mentality to reinvent oneself!
