Seaside Center for Spiritual Living continues its series of annual presentations featuring relevant and inspirational speakers with an appearance by Anita Moorjani, New York Times best-selling author, speaker and cancer survivor. Moorjani will share her story of healing and the insights she gained from her near-death experience and her time in the other realm. The event is on Friday, March 24, at 7:00 PM. All are welcome to attend. VIP and General Admission tickets are available at www.SeasideCenter.org.
Following her near-death experience as shared in her bestselling 2012 book Dying to Be Me, Anita Moorjani knows the truths that exist beyond common knowledge and acceptance.
Audiences are enthralled and captivated to hear Anita recount her remarkable journey from end-stage cancer, through a near-death experience, to total healing. Insights from Moorjani's new book, What If This Is Heaven?, which debunks 10 common cultural myths most of us have accepted without question that keep us from experiencing heaven on earth, will also be shared.
Moorjani, now completely cancer-free, tells her story of being given mere hours to live by her doctors on the morning of February 2, 2006. Unable to move and in a deep coma caused by the cancer that had ravaged her body for nearly four years, Anita entered another realm where she experienced great clarity and understanding about her life and purpose here on earth.
Moorjani relates that, while in that realm, she was given a choice of whether to return to life or continue on into death. She chose to return to this life when she realized that heaven is a state, not a place. Because of this awareness, she made a remarkable and complete recovery within weeks of coming out of the coma. When she shared her story of healing and the insights she gained from her experience in the other realm, it went viral on the internet, receiving enormous interest internationally.
Anita wrote about her experience in Dying to Be Me. It hit the New York Times Best Sellers list within two weeks of its release, has since been translated into 45 languages and has sold over one million copies worldwide, and Hollywood has optioned the rights to make it into a full-length feature film.
"I have been deeply and profoundly touched by Dying to Be Me. For more than four years, an advancing cancer brought her to death's doorstep and beyond-inside the house of death itself. Anita has described it all in great detail in that soul-searching book. Read it very carefully and thoughtfully with a mind that's open to having many of your cherished beliefs challenged, especially about what lies beyond this world, in what's often called the hereafter." - Dr. Wayne Dyer
Moorjani travels the globe, giving talks and workshops, as well as speaking at conferences and special events. She's been interviewed regularly on various prime time television shows around the world, including CNN's Anderson Cooper 360°, The Dr. Oz Show, Fox News, The Jeff Probst Show, National Geographic Channel, and NBC's Today.
"Seaside Center has been privileged to welcome some renowned luminaries including Deepak Chopra, Michael Bernard Beckwith, Mariel Hemingway, Arielle Ford, James Van Praagh, Matt Kahn and, coming in March, Anita Moorjani. We are a center for the expansion of spiritual awakening and that comes in all creative forms," said Rev. Dr. Christian Sorensen, Spiritual Leader of Seaside.
