New Video from Author Solutions Focuses on the Moment When Authors Sees Book for First Time

Author Solutions, LLC, a Penguin Random House company and the world leader in supported self-publishing services, has released a new video titled "Special Delivery: Holding Your Book for the First Time." The compilation of authors, sharing their personal stories about holding the first copies of their books, was released by Author Solutions in conjunction with the release of its 225,000th title.

Authors from several of Author Solutions' supported self-publishing service providers are featured, including two authors whose self-published titles were acquired by major publishing houses in 2013-Fabienne Frederickson and J.L. Witterick.

Witterick's Holocaust novel, "My Mother's Secret," was originally self-published through iUniverse and achieved bestseller status in Canada. Last November, Penguin imprint G.P. Putnam's Sons announced it had acquired the book and was rereleasing it in ten countries.

Frederickson self-published her motivational title, "Embrace Your Magnificence," through Balboa Press in July 2013. Hay House announced last December it was picking up Fredrickson's debut work and rereleasing it in summer 2014. Frederickson's self-taped footage of her and her young son, opening the package with the first copy of her book, serves as the backdrop throughout the compilation.
