Is Osama bin Laden rising from his watery grave?

The recently published international thriller e-book, bin Laden's Revenge, by S.P. Grogan has al Qaeda making a comeback to avenge the 'assassination' of their leader by launching an attack within the U.S., designed to do more lethal damage than 9/11.

One real undercurrent in this fast-paced cliff-hanger is that much of the story is now coming true with today's news events and many readers are concerned that Islamic fundamentalists may read into the plotting of bin Laden's Revenge as an actual roadmap to attacking America, especially the twist where the fictional al-Qaeda terrorist cell employs unsuspecting famous American literary writers.

"I do have to admit," offered author Grogan, "that the targeting of American Islamic terrorists by drone attacks, the vulnerability of America's nuclear waste storage program, and the violent end of the Arab Spring seem to be moving from my imagination into tomorrow's lead news stories. One does have to be concerned of inadvertent ramifications when one writes what I call a 'docu-novel' with the 'pulled from today's headlines' storyline.

One of the most interesting hooks in bin Laden's Revenge is having one of the Islamic terrorists, the last courier to Osama bin Laden, become a sympathetic and quasi-heroic adversary to those trying to stop the Crimson Scimitar plot.

And who are the heroes author Grogan wrote into bin Laden's Revenge? A biting statement is made on current American pop culture as those off to save the day include bounty hunter stars of a reality television show looking to improve ratings; a discredited and fired CIA agent seeking payback; and a computer whiz kid billionaire naïvely out to do a good deed and capture the world's most wanted terrorist. But they all miss the action arriving one day too late in Abbottabad, Pakistan-but still uncover a new plot against America with an explosive deadline in play.

S.P. Grogan is the author of the award winning mysteries, 'Vegas Die' and 'Captain Cooked', both plots effused with historic and current news elements.

bin Laden's Revenge by S.P. Grogan is available on most e-book platforms.
