New Novel 'Pharafaneelya' Provides Glimpse Into Special Soul Asylum Image Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who's the unluckiest of them all? A haunting new book released by Dog Ear Publishing tells the story of an unlucky teenage girl whose desire to protect her most beloved possessions leads her in an unexpected – and unwelcome – direction.

"Pharafaneelya" stars an adolescent girl named Maia, an imaginative teen whose life soon goes down a dark road of false guidance and lost love. Horrible crimes against her own family doom Maia to life in an asylum that consumes people's souls, using their desire to protect beloved things against them.

The crimes lead people's souls to become trapped in limbo, forever wandering an asylum lost in the void. Those who find themselves in Pharafaneelya become stuck in a looping dream world, unsure of what is reality and what is fantasy, thanks to the cracks in their soul created by the terrible events of their lives. Maia herself may have no way out except to become a Watchman, forever serving the place that has kept her confined.

The book's symbolism of dark mirrors reflects the reality of mirrors: their tendency to shatter when broken and the futility to struggle against their dark images. The author takes readers on a wild rollercoaster ride through twists and turns that leave an undeniable impression of the power of imagination and the horror of being a forgotten soul.

The author of "Pharafaneelya" already is working on "Weirdens Black Book." He enjoys telling fiction stories in shattered mirrors, including those that may have passed through unlucky souls.
