New Novel Explores the Limits of Friendship and Deceit Image Gerald Myers returns to the publishing scene with the release of "Michael's Place" (published by Xlibris), a coming-of-age novel exploring the influence of nature and nurture on a person's behavior.

"Michael's Place" follows two adolescents from divergent backgrounds who become fast friends while dwelling in a mob-run, drug-infested part of North Philly. Their relationship and adventures form the backdrop for when, 15 years later, they reunite in a different time, at a different age and are both at dramatically different places in their lives.

"It's a basic coming-of-age story where the nature of good versus evil blurs when the essence of relationship is taken into account. Furthermore, the story has a very satisfying resolution," Myers shares, on the highlights of his book.
