In the hopes of capturing her deceased son's life in written form, Christin R. Carlson has penned "Remember Me, Shane: Memoir" (published by Trafford Publishing), a book to let the world know her son just as she did.

Written to celebrate Shane Estorja's life, Carlson regales readers with the story of an extraordinary young boy that chose to live an extraordinary life. "A young life that touched so many other lives in such a positive way," she says. Through Shane, she learned how to love another human being and how to be loved by others and it is her hope that readers will learn this and much more as they read "Remember Me, Shane."

An excerpt from the book:

"I could hear only the sound of my own heart beating in my ears. With all the people that filled the room, and all the conversation that was sounding, I heard nothing. The pain that I was feeling is so indescribable. I struggled to breathe. It was like I was being hugged really hard. Except with a hug, it ends. I still feel that to this day. The only difference is I've learned to co-exist with it."

"As I sat there, I felt this warm sense come over me. I felt God's Presence in the room with all of us. I knew that Shane was with him because God showed me. Not literally, in my heart. Through all that pain and sadness and all the misery and endlessness, I saw a soft light in the front of the room, surrounding my boy."

"I want all to know that no matter how big the loss or how much pain follows that there is light at the end of the tunnel," explains Carlson about what she hopes readers take away after reading her book. "If you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, He will match you step by step along the path, for God will never deal you more then He feels you can handle."
