SAN DIEGO, Oct. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ How we see others and ourselves is the determining factor in how we show up in our world each day. And, since the compass of life does not point in one direction all of the time, this can become complicated. Kristin Andress' new book, Be Good For Goodness Sake, is an allegory offering a portrait of individuals living in a collective and often confusing world. It explores our assumptions and our realities as we see others, and in them see pieces of ourselves. The book is available on Amazon.

The preface of the book is an Andress' poem titled "This is Our World." It is a declaration of the world possible to create and the choices we have within. "This is Our World" will be recited line by line at the Women's Economic Forum in Montecito, CA on November 13 by women from twenty countries, with Andress as one voice.

Andress says, "In Be Good For Goodness Sake, I chose to create characters through which we can see ourselves and instill a backdrop that allows us to truly see others. Whatever you envision in your mind's eye about the elder character Ray, the sage Weeping Willow tree, or the divine Host, the real story is the reader's to tell."

As you experience Be Good For Goodness Sake you may find yourself asking, "How will I choose to show up every day? What will I believe about myself and others? How am I influenced by external differences and my own judgements or perceptions?" Andress' writing allows one to ponder that it is their time to reflect on their own story.

Andress says, "I wrote this book in a weekend when I sat outside on my patio and the words and ideas spilled through to me into a simply put story in 59 pages. It is very timely based on what is happening in our world. I was compelled to invite people to think about how it is possible to show up in the everyday. In a nutshell, Be Good For Goodness Sake illuminates that good begets good."

As a six-year-old child Kristin Andress began filling spiral notebooks with stories and when asked what she loves to do her simple response is, "I love to read and write." Andress grew up in Pittsfield, Illinois where her mother worked as a children's librarian. She spent many hours in the book corner in a beanbag chair, lost and transformed through stories.

Be Good For Goodness Sake is available on Amazon.com in Kindle and paperback. Upon request, Andress conducts keynotes and appears in or on media. Book signings are being scheduled.
