Author S. B. White has released her most recent novel, this time in collaboration with her granddaughter, called "The Special Ones," a fantasy, science fiction tale. The story follows the thrilling adventures of a group of young teenagers called The Special Ones, who have the power to change into different animals, as they discover their heritage and what makes them different from those on their world of Adoran.
When The Special Ones discover they come from a different planet called Ulterion, their lives drastically change, making them flee their home in Adoran and go into hiding. When they are called upon to help defeat an old enemy from Ulterion that is attacking Adoran, they have to work together as a team and use their special skills to free the planet from the rogues' cruel rule, and embark on a secret mission to rescue Ulterion's greatest scientists before they are destroyed.
The compelling story not only entertains, but also delivers valuable messages to youth such as the importance of bravery, integrity, family, self-acceptance, and tolerance of others.
Writing a novel takes time and creativity, and publishing it is a major milestone in an author's career. However, White states that the most rewarding thing about writing "The Special Ones" was not just the release of the book.
"The best thing about what I do is being able to do it with my grandchildren," said White. "I've always encouraged them to read and write. It's such a joy to be able to create with them."
White believes that if children continue to read, write, and create art during their childhood, they will grow up to lead successful and promising lives.
