New Collection of Parables is Released

Author Shawn David Trujillo shares the stories of his journey as a Christian, along with parables of his experiences encountering God in real life in his new book of inspiration, "Journeys with the Holy Ghost: A Collection of Parables by Shawn David Trujillo and the Holy Ghost" (published by AuthorHouse).

Trujillo says, "I, being instructed unto the Kingdom of Heaven, am bringing forth new and old things out of an abundance of treasure that I have stored in Heaven! I am hoping to inspire others to store up treasures in Heaven such as these. The book is comprised of short stories, stories in which the details of the story carefully parallel those of the situation to which it refers or comments on. As with Jesus's parables each of my parables contains a mysterious meaning that involves the kingdom of heaven as I understood it. At this time I am choosing not to reveal the hidden meanings of my parables as I interpreted them. This is because I would like to stir the imagination of the reader and leave the stories open to the readers interpretation, perhaps later if I get enough inquiries I will share the meaning of the parables as I interpreted them!"

An excerpt from "Journeys with the Holy Ghost":

"As the spirit of the Lord came upon me I could see a clear, turquoise, green-blue sky. The sky was very peaceful with a few friendly clouds of white and grey here and there. I was looking straight forward at the time I observed this sky. Then I was compelled to look upwards and as I did, my eyes were bewildered by a sudden flood of brilliance that would best be described as a torrent from a waterfall of incomprehensible magnitude, rushing down towards me with incredible speed."
