A collection of six horror tales encourages a new generation to take a journey through the dark and unknown where nothing is certain except uncertainty in "Short Days, Long Nights" (published by Archway Publishing) by Shawn Scuefield.

The main character differs with each story; however, each are scrutinized or their actions and beliefs and how it triggers events for themselves and those around them. For every action, there is a reaction and there are consequences for every choice made, good or bad, regardless of intent. The book touches on aspects of human nature that are prevalent today, in ourselves as individuals or in those around us.

"'Short Days, Long Nights' is, in effect, a study of human behaviors that we see in society on a daily basis," Scuefield says, "with wildly divergent outcomes based on the actions of its key characters as such it's an opportunity to look at ourselves and our own behaviors and actions and give deeper thought to the consequences that can come from those behaviors and actions."
