George Perez comes out of a lyrical cloud of love inspired by a singular lady. With precise romanticism he proceeds to regale readers with love poems to live by in a new collection entitled Just For You. These love poems have no trace of melancholy, irony, much less malice. Everything streams from crystal clear emotional vision - and is written with this ideal in mind.
Perez is a gifted and talented person who is a believer in true love and all its virtues. He speaks of love in many circumstance and guise. Readers will be surprised at the many instances in which the author resolves love from out of worldly, problematic circumstances. Love itself is the charm that takes meanness, even madness, from his poems. The classical rhyme and meter goes hand in hand with what the poet is trying to convey to his readers - that postcard perfect love is not a rarity but is abundant in the right places and times.
For romantics of all kinds, this book is a wonderful addition to the library. An untrammeled faith that knows the world and its frailties has led Perez to show the way into happiness and contentment - fulfilling an important purpose for poetry. He dreams of writing romantic fiction out of these poems. Well he should - the fiction that comes of this poetry is sure to light passion and inspire people to choose love every time.
This book will be featured at the New Jersey Library Association Book Exhibit in Long Branch, N.J. on April 30 - May 1, 2013.
