From the vivid imagination of an 8-year-old comes a new children's book following the magical adventure of a princess. Eliana Ortiz first thought up Princess Diana while being babysat by her sister, 27-year-old Aubrey Ortiz. Together they created "Princess Diana and the Magic Light Beam" (published by Trafford Publishing) featuring Eliana's illustrations and words by Aubrey.
Princess Diana vainly believes she is the most beautiful girl in the whole world, but during a royal ball at the castle, she discovers she is not. Angry and jealous, she sets out to do whatever it takes to become the most beautiful girl in the world. An ugly, old woman who is patient and wise tells her to seek out the Magic Light Beam. Princess Diana is shocked when the Magic Light Beam turns her into an ant. Forced to figure out a way to become human again, she learns the meaning of true beauty.
"The overall theme of the book is that vanity and being more beautiful than everyone else is not the most important duty of a princess," Aubrey says. "True beauty lies on the inside when showing kindness to others."
