YEADON, Pa. - The new book, "Is-So Discovers Is-So" (published by WestBow Press), by Robert Lee Strother Jr. encourages children who are insecure to believe they can accomplish anything. The book also shows how teachers can impact their students' lives.
Inspired by one of his students who struggled with self-confidence, Strother wrote "Is-So Discovers Is-So" to show all children that they can succeed. The book tells the story of a child named Is-So who does not believe in himself. Is-So meets Mr. Bob, a music teacher, who encourages his students to be confident through songs he creates with motivational lyrics. With Mr. Bob's help, Is-So realizes that he can be strong and courageous and overcome anything in life
An excerpt from "Is-So Discovers Is-So":
The teacher's philosophy was that most children at that age could learn just about anything through music. He thought this could only happen if you prepared the subject properly and delivered it in a fun and energetic way. The teacher also thought that education is just like a chef preparing a new dish; people will eat just about anything if it is prepared properly, smells good, looks interesting, and served on a clean plate.
