Wind Dancer and the Star Dust Dots tells the story of how a young pony realizes her dream and becomes decorated with star dust dots as a result. "We think this book offers a heartwarming and inspirational message to children of all ages," said author Neil Currie, "...and the beautiful illustrations really bring the script to life for the readers."

Based on a real pony named Wind Dancer, the book was created to help raise funds for the Wind Dancer Pony Rescue Foundation - a charitable foundation... The real Wind Dancer was most often seen decorated with bright pink and blue dots and the book offers a whimsical and motivational explanation for her decorations.

"I feel very honoured and grateful that Neil, Susanne and Jennifer were moved to write and illustrate this beautiful book," says Dr. Paula Dupuy, founder and president of the Wind Dancer Pony Rescue Foundation. "The ponies at our Rescue facility in Sheffield will certainly benefit from the funds raised."

The registered charity was established in 2011 following the automobile death of 11-year-old Isabel Dupuy, whose ambition was to someday have a rescue dedicated solely to the well-being of ponies. Since then, the organization has helped more than 20 abused, neglected and unwanted ponies.

The book launch coincides with Family Day to reflect its place as a book that can be enjoyed by the whole family over and over again.
