Inspired by the stories he used to tell his son, single dad and author Lane Franks' new book, "The Adventures and Life Lessons of Wolfy," does more than entertain before bedtime. Wolfy shows the importance of good values and a loving family.
Franks, an inspirational speaker for Heart Line Ministries, also wishes to show that God, the Bible, and prayer should be of central importance to establishing noble values early in life.
"I wanted to instill in my son the same values I gained from attending church as a young boy," Franks said.
"The Adventures and Life Lessons of Wolfy" is about a mythical little Wolf pup who lives in the remote mountains of Alaska in a small log cabin with his family. This children's book compares Wolfy risking his life for a friend to the crucifixion of Jesus when he died on the cross to save his friends from the consequences of sin.
"This book gives a clear explanation of why Jesus had to die on the cross and how kids can pray and ask him to be their own friend and savior," Franks said.
Franks hopes parents will use this book to convey the message of the Gospel of Jesus to all kids so they can understand how to have a relationship with him.
