How did you end up in your life? Where one ends up in life is determined by fate, chance and choice. Fate consists of a person's genetic heritage, family traditions, social, economic status and where he/she lives. When random events intervene with fate, crises or opportunities are created, forcing choices that collectively shape a person's life.

In Fate Choice and Chance, author Geoffrey Hepburn delivers a story of reconciliation with past decisions and tragedies that deflected a young man from pursuing his youthful dreams and goals.

Determined to escape his family's traditions and poverty in the Canadian prairies, Ben Peters initially follows an idealistic career path and good fortune smiles on him, but then a number of unforeseen setbacks make clear that he cannot hold onto his dreams. Immigrating to the United States, Ben is suddenly thrown into a much bigger, more secular world alien to his family traditions, with no recognizable landmarks to guide his path and is forced to make choices.

"Fate Chance and Choice takes the reader on a spiritual journey of reconciling with one's past and achieving healing by forgiving those who have wronged you," says Hepburn. "This book teaches how faith, resilience, and a willingness to take risks and adjust goals will help you to overcome life's inevitable setbacks and tragedies."

Fate Choice and Chance is great for teens through adults by depicting many ironic and accidental twists determining different paths life can take.
