Weddings are a special time. They unite two people through their promise of love and their commitment to one another. Author Lee Won-Ro has emulated that experience through a collection of his most insightful and poignant poems in his new book, Wedding Day.
In Wedding Day, author, poet and university president, Lee Won-Ro shares over one hundred and twenty of his most cherished poems. After having published nine books of his personal poetry, Won-Ro has hand selected his favorite and most inspiring works and invites readers to partake in this celebration. This is Won-Ro's first book of poetry to be translated into English.
"Wedding Day is my gift to all people," said Won-Ro. "My intent is to take the reader to another place both emotionally and spiritually though my poems and haikus."
Won-Ro explores the universe in conjunction with his expertise in intellectual and spiritual domains as a specialist in science and medicine and then uses personal life experiences and incorporates them into his poetry.
"My life experience has given me so much inspiration that I found that the best method to convey all of the surrounding beauty, intrigue and hidden meanings of the universe is to turn those experiences into poems and haikus," said Won-Ro. "I invite readers of all ages to sit down and enjoy my life's celebration by picking up and reading 'Wedding Day'."
