In the sleepy kingdom of Musk live a princess and a boy wizard who doesn't know of his powers. When the princess, Laura, brings home a wayward dragon, the kingdom's tranquility is disrupted and the tranquil inhabitants of Musk must find a way to acclimate to the new disorder brought on by the dragon's presence.
R. N. Decker's new book "Tarsus" (published by Trafford Publishing) brings fantasy to the foreground with the enchanting adventures of Laura, Pip the boy wizard and the mysterious dragon.
Decker says he hopes readers come away from "Tarsus" with "a sense of imagination and wonder and the ability to get away from the everyday world, letting their imaginations take them away for the vacation of a lifetime."
An excerpt from "Tarsus":
"Laura flung herself on her four-poster bed, burying her head in the pillows, sobbing. How on earth was she going to convince her father she was a grown woman who could make her own decisions? Well, close, she could make her own decisions about what to wear to a court hearing, or a court function; she just couldn't make the decision about becoming a king's knight. She knew what was best. Mother taught her to be independent."
