Carol Lewellen shares her experiences living in Saudi Arabia in her new book "An American Woman's Life in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia" (published by Trafford Publishing). This new book offers a unique West meets East perspective of life, culture and tradition in one of the most prominent Middle Eastern countries.

Lewellen was raised with a Roman Catholic upbringing and attended Catholic school. Her mother belonged to a Catholic organization and her family later took in foreign students to live with them. Their family guests sparked her interest in foreign culture. An opportunity to live in a new country came when Lewellen's husband was offered a job overseas. In "An American Woman's Life in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia," Lewellen shares some of her experiences living in the Middle Eastern country.

"When my husband had the chance to live and work in Saudi Arabia, we jumped at it," the author says. "I found society in the Middle East to be very diverse and our society has become diverse as well."

"An American Woman's Life in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia" is an insightful and interesting book about the way of life in Saudi Arabia from unique point of view of an American woman.
