Author Steve Ink introduces the familiar message of Christ and Christianity within a contemporary setting in his new book, "God So Loved...: John 3:16 An Introduction to Christ and Christianity" (published by WestBow Press).

Framed through Ink's personal experiences, "God So Loved..." uses the Bible verse John 3:16 to illustrate God's love and the hope of eternal abundant life provided by Jesus as savior. The New International Version, which Ink uses throughout his book, quotes John 3:16 as saying, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." In his book, Ink breaks down the powerful verse so that each concept can be examined, explored and personalized.

By dealing with the message contained in John 3:16 within the modern setting of his own life, Ink provides readers with his perspective on current theological issues while helping readers gain a better understanding of the good news of Jesus Christ.

"I was looking for a good way to introduce Christ and Christianity," Ink says. "It seemed to me that there were some important facets of Christianity missing from other introductions I had read. The book presents the basic information in the text and then provides notes for further support and deeper study."
