Seeking to fulfill a void of nostalgia news of stars from the baby-boom generation and others interested in the ’50s and ’60s, Smith offers the 50 best talks with baby boomer stars from his radio program on iHeartRadio. Each of the chapters focuses on a different celebrity. Along with the unknown facts and secrets from the past, the book includes photographs of the people from then and now. The foreword is by Geraldo Rivera.
“It is always good to jolt your memory. When reading my book the reader will trigger memories long forgotten and that alone will make the price of the book worthwhile,” Smith says, adding “Nobody else in America had the gonads to reach out to these Baby Boomers and record them. Nobody my age had the ability to find them and use today’s technology to put this book together.”

About the Author
Edward “Torchy” Smith was born with bright red hair in 1947. The nurse brought him to his mother and said “Here’s your little torch.” From that moment on, Mrs. Smith referred to her son as “Torchy” and to this day, he has relatives and friends who don’t know his real first name. After graduating Butler University and Kent State, Smith worked jobs creating advertising layouts, selling art supplies and being a manufacturer’s representative before starting his own a ribbon business. He sold his business in 2006 and went into semi-retirement.
