Many people that strive to connect with their faith on a higher level bury themselves deeper into the studies, practices and rituals of their text book religion. But what if the key to spiritual knowledge is to abandon the archaic religious rules and restriction all together?

In The Book of One, author Rama Ka Roop takes the reader on a journey to find oneness with God. After researching multiple religions and their development over time, Roop has uncovered how to form a relationship with God without being limited to religious parameters. Instead of focusing on religions and scriptures, which can be misinterpreted and inconsistent, Roop concentrates on self-awareness, meditation, and communicating with God.

"Religion can be a confusing topic for many people. With the number of active faiths around the world, it's easy to be overwhelmed," said Roop.

He suggests looking past religious affiliations in order to fix conflict that is ever-present in today's society. All religious doctrines and scriptures stress a unity with God, which Roop believes is more important than being divided by specific religions. Roop stresses the idea that focusing on oneness with God will bring about peace.

"The Book of One engages the mind in self-awareness," Roop said. "With this accomplished, readers will find themselves capable of achieving a state of total happiness."
