New Book Enables Better Learning Environment for Children

Claudia Elaine Kellier marks her publishing debut with the release of "Hold On to Your Tree: How It Started" (published by AuthorHouse), a self-improvement book chronicling her educational journey to alleviate her child's academic challenges. This guide is offered to parents and educators to assess children's issues with regards to their learning environment.

Kellier noticed her child's undesirable behavior in her preparatory school years. This then triggered a doctoral journey "to ensure a more conducive learning climate for not only my child but to sensitize others about the importance of being involved in their children's learning environment, and never at any time think to themselves that it is the responsibility of the school."

"Hold On to Your Tree: How It Started" expresses faith, the value and understanding one's self, and the importance of motivation, education and tolerance (M.E.T.). It shows how these have enabled a better quality of life for both a parent and child and it can do the same for other parents, educators and children and how to enable a better learning environment.

About the Author
Claudia Elaine Kellier was born in the city of Montego Bay and grew up in Flamstead Gardens, one of the most rural parts of St. James. She went to a basic school and primary school in the same area where she lived and started high school at age 11. She studied cosmetology, worked in a prominent hair clinic and started her own business. Kellier took advance classes (General Certificate in Education and the Caribbean Examination Council) and was able to secure a place in teachers college. She is a wife, a mother of four biological children and two stepchildren, and a grandmother of three. "Hold On to Your Tree: How It Started" is Kellier's first book release.
