New Book Analyzes the Constitution's Original Intent Image Since the days of the Kennedy administration, Richard R. Monts has been concerned about continuous expansion of the United States government. He deferred to the expertise of constitutional lawyers and legal experts for the correct interpretation of the Constitution. He assumed they were right, but during Affordable Care Act discussions, he refused to take the experts at their word.

He was determined to answer two questions to his own satisfaction. First, what is the role of the United States government? Second, what is the best environment for the individual to realize their own potential? Monts attempts to solve these issues with his book "Constitutional Renaissance: Return to Course for Maximum Potential."

"Constitutional Renaissance" is Monts' personal examination of America's defining work legislation. During his research, Monts recognized the broadening powers of U.S. government and how this scheme contradicted American principles.

In return, he created an alternative structure that acknowledges the original intent of the Constitution and empowers the individual citizen. Monts' work provides the American people with the pep talk they need to put the nation back on track.

"Constitutional Renaissance is a wake-up call for the American people," Monts said. "The U.S. government is working well beyond its limits. Yet no one is working to fix the problem, instead the old, overbearing system keeps expanding. The country and its people have so much potential if we return to the true nature and intent of America's sacred text."
