LOS ANGELES, March 27, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ Nathan Edmondson, Augusta, GA native, writer and charity activist known for his work on Black Widow and Who Is Jake Ellis? debuted on the comic scene with his first comic title from Image Comics ten years ago. Olympus, the high-action modern Greek mythology take on the brothers Castor and Pollux was his first sellout series.
Edmondson followed up immediately with The Light, a horror-thriller built on the creepy idea that looking into electric lights can kill you. Who Is Jake Ellis?, soon to be a movie at 20th Century Fox, based through multiple sellouts with its unique super-spy protagonist and the invisible man that guides him. Dancer, another spy tale is the story of a young ballet dancer who falls in love with an aged assassin only to find that they are both being hunted by his much younger clone. Dancer is also soon to be a movie.
Following Dancer, Edmondson wrote the critically-acclaimed ongoing series The Activity, following the high-action exploits of a secret special operations team. The book was lauded for its devotion to accuracy in both writing and art and was quickly picked up for a multi-movie deal with Paramount Pictures.
The Dream Merchant was Edmondson's highest-selling debut book at Image Comics. A fantasy thriller about a young boy and the terrifying nature of his dreams ran for six-issues. Another fantasy entry followed in Genesis, a graphic novel.
Edmondson also wrote Grifter andBatman Black & White for DC Comics, wrote Iron Man for Marvel Comics and made history with his highly-acclaimed run of The Punisher, leading to the popular Netflix tv show. He followed that with his groundbreaking work on Black Widow, and Marvel's first-ever Red Wolf series.
Edmondson has worked with and even helped break onto the scene some of the industry's top art talent. Among his collaborators are Phil Noto, Mitch Gerards, Christian Ward, Allison Simpson, Dennis Cowan, Mike Perkins, Tonzi Zjonjic and many others.
Now focused on screenwriting and novels, he wrote the scripts Hoot and The Patch, both of which focused on the real-life exploits of special operations heroes. He is also working on a book with Black Panther star Michael B Jordan.
He devotes much of his time to Special Operations military charities and conservation and counter-poaching work in Africa. He lives in California with his wife and children.
