"Contemporary science, including such branches as psychology and sociology, makes is possible to perform a new analysis of ancient history," author Nataliya V. Poullo explains. Her new book, "The Twenty-First Century: New Reading of New Testament" (published by Trafford Publishing), offers readers a new vision of events and their participants found in the Bible.

Two millennia have passed since the events in ancient Judea took place. Twice a year, millions of people all over the world celebrate events of Jesus' life: His birth and His resurrection. "These events seem to be the turning point of our history, our culture and our civilization," Poullo says. "However, what do we really know about what happened that distant spring in Jerusalem?"

A number of recently discovered scripts have cast new light on the characters of the story and the relationships existing between them, and contemporary level of science provides us with new ideas and points of view. Readers follow the author in her challenging quest for the truth hidden in the mists of time, which leads to astonishing conclusions and creates basis for further investigations.

"Talking about psychology and emotional lives of people, their relations, attitudes, etc., we notice that the particular time of the events to happen is of no significant importance," Poullo says. "We can easily recognize the characters and the situations in our everyday life and the modern society."
