VERNAL, Utah
Merging the two worlds of personal development and sales, author Natalie Klun's new book "Taking the Sell Out of Sales: Discover How You Can Overcome the Fear of Selling" (published by Balboa Press) shows readers how to enhance their business skills and take the fear out of selling.
Klun says "Taking the Sell Out of Sales" speaks to anyone who is working in sales or who has a product, message or service to sell. The book is not necessarily a guide to making sales or how to make more sales, but rather a guide on how to shift mindsets from competitive selling to improved tactics for selling while being of service to others.
"We all share the same purpose - to be of service to others," Klun says. "What we do in our daily lives such as business or a career is the platform for our purpose. Your day job becomes quite enjoyable when you approach each day by looking for those to whom you can be of service."
Klun places emphasis on the act of service to others within "Taking the Sell Out of Sales" because she experienced the same breakthrough she teaches in her book. As a sales executive, she found herself searching for purpose in her day job. But when she looked introspectively and thought of how her skills could help others instead of how others' purchases would help her, she realized a new purpose and method of selling.
"When you remove the competitive aspect of your business or job, you are in service," Klun says. "Could you imagine what sort of world we would be living in if everyone went to work every day excited about who they could serve and how many they could serve? This is why I was inspired to write this book."
