Author Nancy Singletary felt a strong desire to write about the history of the Progressive Movement and to juxtapose her own family memoirs on its timeline. She wanted to give people an interesting story to read on the history that exposes on what she claims are the truth about Fascism and Progressivism and the result of which is the release of "It's a Sin to Be Boring" (published by Xlibris).

This book is a biographical-historical fiction that unravels the complexity of a family where the actions of one touch the lives of others. It is a story based on Singletary's own true-life family experiences, memoirs and an expose of what she believes are true historical events.

"Every action in this story is based on true history and personal memoirs," Singletary points out. "I believe readers will vicariously relate to the characters and the multiple tracks of real life actions. On one level, this book can be read as a romance novel. On another level, it can be read as a history text and an expose of the Progressive Movement in America."

Through the publication of "It's a Sin to Be Boring," Singletary hopes readers will ultimately look inward and consider that actions have their consequences and for them to reconsider the things they think they know about history and the Progressive Movement as well as for them to come away with a greater understanding of what she thinks are the negative effects of the Progressive Movement on America's future.
