In "Live for Tomorrow" (published by Inspiring Voices), author Nancy Hann Skroko's new historic romance novel, readers find themselves in Germany during World War I as a budding relationship is pushed to its limits.

Based on stories Skroko's grandmother told her when she was young, "Live for Tomorrow" recounts a tale about Karina Winkler and Baron Derek von Kampler. These two individuals fall in love, but their romance becomes disrupted by the horrors of the war going on around them. As the characters fight to keep themselves sane, alive and together, they give their life up to God to help them overcome the tragedies surrounding them. It is by His love and their faith that they come to rely on to push through their rocky surroundings.

An excerpt from "Live for Tomorrow":

"'Well, well, if it isn't my little brother, Derek, 'Fredericka sneered derisively, ' and who's the girl?' 'Fredericka, I would like you to meet Karina Winkler,' Derek said, placing his arm protectively around Karina's shoulders. Karina looked past Derek into the jade-green eyes of an extremely attractive woman. 'Hello, Fredericka.' Fredericka was willowy and slender with waist-length black hair, but the allusion of beauty was shattered by her open display of hostility. Fredericka openly studied Karina for a few moments and then said, 'You robbed the cradle this time, Derek.'"

It is Skroko's hope that readers will see how "having faith in Jesus can help a person get through life's experiences." She also hopes that readers learn about the war and find the book mesmerizing.
