NY Times Columnist Nick Bilton to Pen Book on Silk Road

New York Times columnist Nick Bilton is working on a book about the black market website Silk Road. No release date has been set.

He Tweeted: "I have some news. I'm writing The Silk Road book, which has also been optioned as a movie by 20th Century Fox."

Bilton's reporting is credited with helping to lead the Federal Aviation Administration to overturn their long time ban of using cell phones on airplanes.

He is the author of two books: I live in the Future and Here's how it Works and Hatching Twitter. The latter was a New York Times best seller and voted Best Book of the Year on The Wall Street Journal Readers Choice. The book was recently optioned by Lionsgate and is currently being turned into a TV series.
