Michelle Lee pens the new book, "The Unexpected Package" (published by Trafford Publishing), a novel about giving and receiving love in a world where it's easy to get bitter and let one's past dictate the future.

"Too many people let their lives be governed by the past," Lee says.

Thirty-two-year-old Kay Stewart will stop at nothing to make her name in the New York fashion world. Having spent the last 11 years creating her own line and label and securing international success, she is determined to never succumb to the desire for a little house in the suburbs and the pitter-patter of little feet.

When Kay gets a strange message on her answering machine, she barely has time to figure out who it's from before her doorman delivers an unusual package: a little baby boy. When Kay is forced to explain the baby to her boyfriend, his unexpected reaction sends her on a journey into her past where she soon learns more than just the baby's identity.

"This book is about a girl who wants to be loved, but she realizes she is afraid to give love,"
