There are few industries where people of such widely differing skills, mentalities and backgrounds - craftsmen, technicians, labourers, surveyors, architects and others come together, as in Construction, to create and maintain our built environment. Drawing on thirty years' experience at all levels of the building industry, this collection of real-life anecdotes, short stories and reportage is told with insight and humour. It tells of the people, the problems, conflicts and achievements of the industry where, as the writer says, "there were hectic days, tense days and certainly, frustrating days, but very rarely, a boring day."
