Author Rosalind Brenner's Trafford Publishing Gold Seal Award winning novel, "KALISZ: A journey of return" (published by Trafford Publishing), will be featured at the 2015 Miami Book Fair International Nov. 15-22.

The 2013 novel takes readers on a journey through three generations and two world wars in the context of one Jewish family's history.

"History has a way of showing up without being invited," Brenner says, "and relatives can be hidden for decades. But when truth is revealed, changes emerge."

Brenner explores the histories, traditions and cultures of Poland and Palestine through Rose, a young Jewish girl who unintentionally turns up in Kalisz, Poland. She discovers it was her father's ancestral home, but that while the city had previously been home to a large Jewish population, the Holocaust had erased their culture from the modern-day city.

As Rose unknowingly stumbles through her family's dark and undocumented past, she unearths a family saga, engaging readers in a sweeping drama, wrapped in mystery and rich in cultural rituals and traditions.
