WASHINGTON, Feb. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ Writer and media strategist Ryan Holiday's latest book, Conspiracy: Peter Thiel, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, and the Anatomy of Intrigue, tells the inside (and bizarre) true story of Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel's secret - and ultimately successful - plot to destroy Gawker Media. Holiday will share his findings and discuss what he believes the impact of this sordid saga will be on the First Amendment at a National Press Club Headliners Book Event on Thursday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m.

This event will feature a discussion with the author, an audience question-and-answer session, and a book signing. Tickets are $5 for National Press Club members and $10 for the general public. To purchase tickets and copies of the book, please click here.

Books will also be available for purchase at the event. Proceeds from book sales will benefit the non-profit affiliate of the Club, the National Press Club Journalism Institute, so we kindly ask that you leave all outside books and memorabilia at home.

Ryan Holiday is the bestselling author of Trust Me, I'm Lying; The Obstacle Is the Way; Ego Is the Enemy; and other books about marketing, culture, and the human condition. From 2008-2014 Holiday served as the Director of Marketing for American Apparel, overseeing some of the company's more controversial ad campaigns during his tenure. In 2012, Holiday founded the creative agency Brass Check, which over the years has advised companies such as Google, TASER, Complex, and other prominent public figures. He lives in Austin, Texas.
