The new poetry and imagery collection "NZ09" (published by Trafford Publishing), from author Matthew Bell, uses poetry styles from around the world. "Twenty thousand kilometers to the opposite side of the planet," he says. "The British winter's long dark nights and ice are swapped for New Zealand summer's long sunny days and ice. An epic tour of cold glaciers and hot geothermals."

Much of "NZ09" reflects a person challenge by Bell to himself to craft poetry inspired by different styles from around the world. One reviewer notes:

"This collection of poetry is not only unique for its language but also because each verse is written using a different poetic form. From acrostic to haiku and sonnets to Villanelle, Bell uses forty-six different styles of poetry to capture the natural beauty of the New Zealand landscape and his sentiments as he journeys through it."

"Many people are going on tours to different places," Bell notes, speaking of the market his book addresses. "This book tells the story of a tour to New Zealand - one of the world's most interesting places. The book is presented in color, with many photos, and in an engaging writing style. The book inspires others to develop their own journey."
