Author Mary Parlato Caputo had been living in the U.S. when she met Nick Caputo on June 5, 1942. This marked the beginning of their story together - a story that would be rife with challenges, danger and undying love.

Mary Caputo tells the story of her husband's love in her new memoir, "A TRIBUTE" (published by iUniverse). Their story is one that spans several decades, World War II and half of the globe.

The author's father had been in the U.S. and decided to bring his family there as well. Similarly, Nick Caputo - a talented musician - felt he was missing something in his life. Upon meeting Mary Caputo, they both realized they had found what they were always looking for. But just as quickly as things fell into place, he enlisted in the army during WWII.

"A Tribute" follows Mary and Nick Caputo as they spend three years apart, communicating through many letters while waiting for their life to resume. Mary Caputo's memoir continues their story to the very end, with Nick's passing away in 1971.

Mary Caputo's memoir will not only remind readers of the great innovations of the 1940s, but also serve as "A Tribute" to her late husband.
