Mary Griffin Kelly has completed her first book "Puck and the Pot Bellied Pigs": a gripping and potent story of companionship and playful antics for young readers.

When asked about her inspiration for the story, Mary Griffin Kelly stated "I was enjoying an evening around the fire pit with my family when we began talking about my friend Nan and her black lab Puck. We were laughing at how Nan and Puck just refuse to follow the dog officer's rules. I then began thinking it would make a cute children's story."

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Mary Griffin Kelly's spirited tale follows a set of unusual companions on their wild and rascally journey. Mary Griffin Kelly has crafted a delightful read, which is chock full of excitement. It is sure to both entertain and touch the heart.

Puck is a Black Labrador Retriever who runs off with two pot-bellied pigs. Their adventure takes them to Plum Island in Newburyport, MA, a charming New England town thirty-seven miles north of Boston. Plum Island is an eleven-mile barrier island that expands over three towns. It has beautiful beaches, a lovely boat basin, an Audubon Center, and a wonderful bird sanctuary that is visited by people from all over who enjoy viewing the many species of birds that inhabit the island.

Readers who wish to experience this lovable work can purchase "Puck and the Pot Bellied Pigs" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
